We took on the challenge of creating a design approach that would highlight and showcase
Baer & Bosch Auctioneers‘ featured auction lots. We established a design approach that would work well with these items by incorporating creative visuals such as vibrant colors while maintaining Baer & Bosch’s signature style of high-end elegance through minimalistic designs meant to show off the lots themselves rather than overwhelm potential buyers with pictures or text.
The
Nonsuch Media team needed a design solution to make Baer & Bosch’s auction catalogs more artistic and modern. After much in-depth research, we knew an attractive presentation would be key for enticing clients and showcasing the lots on offer. We decided that presenting each lot individually was one way of doing this. Every object could then have its own page filled with detailed information about where it came from, what kind of condition it is in, or anything else buyers might want to know before making their purchase decision.
Each auction catalog was crafted to allow the illustrations and design to play a prominent role in the way Baer & Bosch featured their lots. The covers were created by artists, who used information about certain items like color or subject matter as inspiration for the illustration they would use on each cover art piece. This ensured that all of the catalog covers looked cohesive when put together with others from different auctions – creating an identity around them similar yet unique at its core – visual intelligence!
