Auctions catalogs are an effective marketing strategy for any auction house. We were commissioned by Baer & Bosch Auctioneers to develop a creative identity for their auction catalogs highlighting unusual wristwatches, vintage pocket watches, exceptional clocks, rare skateboards, contemporary art, designer art toys, and other curios. Besides designing their catalogs, we also assisted with distributing paper and digital catalogs. The design of the catalogs follows a cohesive format to engage both seasoned and new collectors in the lots offered by Baer & Bosch auction company.
The Nonsuch Media team conducted extensive research into the relationship between auction houses, their clients, and categories to better understand how these factors impact each other. After meeting with several different designers, we knew that an innovative design was necessary to present the auction catalogs in a modern way.
The auction catalogs use bold colors and illustrations to create a coherent vision of the lots on offer by linking all categories together. Baer & Bosch collaborated with an artist to create original covers for each of its auctions. The design aesthetic is consistent across all the catalogs, creating a more visually appealing brand identity and customer experience.
