To collaborate on the project, we teamed up with Baer & Bosch auction house. With their specialty in luxury watches and various other items such as contemporary art and skateboards, they needed a design approach to be consistent across all of these products with different themes but are still presented within one catalog. We delivered this by creating an artistic visual brand identity where each item is given its own story through color schemes or intricate designs rather than showing everything at once.
The Nonsuch Media research group is always on point with their extensive marketing studies in various sectors, be it fashion, retail, or auctions. After weeks of analyzing data from all angles, we discovered that a highly creative tone would capture clients’ attention more than anything else. This helped us develop new designs for Baer & Bosch’s many different categories like “watches” and “contemporary art.”
The captivating presentation of Baer & Bosch’s watch auction catalogs has allowed their visual identity to be so easily recognizable. Each cover was created in collaboration with an artist, and each feature served as a rich example of how color, imagery, typography can work together to create unity among those who care about sourcing rare and fine watches for sale from around the world.
Next up is Baer & Bosch Auctioneers’ watch auction catalog, Fine Timepieces, Pocket Watches, Clocks, & Jewelry from March 15, 2014.
